On Wednesday Gage Allen didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. The performance marked the fewest hits Allen has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with more than six strikeouts.
