Depite a solid game beyond the arc (47.37% for nine threes), the Bloomington North Cougars couldn't get the better of the Floyd Central Highlanders this past Saturday. Bloomington took a 58-49 hit to the loss column. Their defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
The Cougars' loss pushed them down to 18-5. The victory -- their third in a row -- raised Floyd Central's record to 15-6.
The Cougars will square off against New Albany on Friday. Bloomington has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. Floyd Central will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against Columbus East Wednesday. Like Floyd Central, Columbus is also coming into the matchup bolstered by a recent win.
