The Southmont Mounties will take on the Greencastle Tiger Cubs at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Southmont managed to slip by Cascade the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mounties took a  blow against the Cadets on Friday, falling  46-0. The  game marked the first time this year in which the Mounties were not able to get on the board.
Meanwhile,  after only 13  points in their last  contest, Greencastle made sure to put some  points up on the board against Crawfordsville  on Friday. The Tiger Cubs put the hurt on the Athenians with a sharp  38-14 victory. The Tiger Cubs haven't had any issues with the Athenians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  win against them.
 Southmont better keep an eye on  Cole Stephens. He was instrumental in Greencastle's win, throwing for 390 yards and three  TDs while completing 79.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 40 yards and one  score. Stephens' passing game has become a key predictor of the Tiger Cubs' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.  Trevin Long was  Stephens' top target, picking up 146 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
 The  victory  got Greencastle back to even at 4-4. As for Southmont, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 7-1.
 Southmont didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against Greencastle  in their previous meeting  back in August of 2015, but they still walked away with  a  46-40 win.
