  Krista King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. King has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive pitching appearances. King was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Lilly Goforth was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Bri Cody, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 The  victory (which was Fort Chiswell's sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-8. As for Craig County, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 4-10.
 Fort Chiswell will take on Giles at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Fort Chiswell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game  this season. Craig County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
