Softball Recap: School Without Walls Comes Up Short

School Without Walls came into this matchup off a tough 17-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Banneker Bulldogs by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Penguins in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Harper Barlow and Anna Morelli stepped up to the plate in a big way. Barlow scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Morelli went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Barlow also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Isabel Barry, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.

School Without Walls' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Banneker, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.
