The Eastmoor Academy Warriors won the last time they faced the South Bulldogs, and things went their way on Monday too. Eastmoor Academy enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over South. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastmoor Academy.
Despite the loss, South still got an impressive performance from Emani Tynes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Tynes continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was J'Khyla Foster, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Eastmoor Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for South, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastmoor Academy will take on Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Ridge will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for South, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Africentric Early College at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Africentric Early College knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully South likes a good challenge.
