Softball Recap: Wallkill Wins Going Away Against Roosevelt

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marlboro Central, Wallkill was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Roosevelt Presidents as they made off with an 18-3 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Wallkill got a massive performance out of Audrey Reeves, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Reeves a new career-high. Grace Rodriguez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Wallkill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt struck out ten times.

Wallkill's record is now 10-2. As for Roosevelt, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wallkill has already played their next match, a 7-6 win against Our Lady of Lourdes on the 7th. As for Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-2 loss against Goshen Central on the 3rd.
