St. Martinville is 7-1 against Crowley since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The St. Martinville Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Crowley Gent at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, St. Martinville didn't have too much trouble with Abbeville at home as they won 64-49. Given St. Martinville's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Abbeville is ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Delian Mallery, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ja'Myri Bernard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Crowley can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-37 victory over Erath on the road. The victory was nothing new for Crowley as they're now sitting on four straight.
The victory makes it two in a row for St. Martinville and bumps their season record up to 10-15. As for Crowley, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
St. Martinville strolled past Crowley in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 67-51. Does St. Martinville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crowley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
