The Flanagan Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Plantation, falling 84-29. Flanagan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Plantation apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Flanagan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Baugh, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Baugh is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Kilhefner, who scored 10 points.
Plantation can attribute much of their success to Daterrius Heller, who scored 22 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Clemons, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Flanagan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Plantation, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Flanagan will head out on the road to face off against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Plantation, they will be playing at home against Nova at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
