The Connection School of Houston Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 62-40 margin over Banff. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
The Connection School of Houston found their leader in underclassman Daniel Senofsky, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Senofsky has scored all season. Felippe Weesner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Banff lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Martin Cook, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks. Cook is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taha Unwala, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Banff were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Connection School of Houston only posted three assists.
The Connection School of Houston's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Banff, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Connection School of Houston will take on Shady Acres Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully The Connection School of Houston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Banff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Texas Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Banff is coming into the match with eight straight defeats at home, meaning Texas Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
