Last Tuesday, Pflugerville Connally strolled past Pflugerville with points to spare, taking the game 51-36. Given Pflugerville Connally's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Pflugerville is ranked 670th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mekhai Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Phagans, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hendrickson didn't have too much trouble with East View at home on Tuesday as they won 66-50.
Pflugerville Connally has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Hendrickson, they pushed their record up to 22-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Pflugerville Connally and Hendrickson were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Pflugerville Connally came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat. Can Pflugerville Connally avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
