Football Recap: Arleta Piles Up the Points Against Monroe

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arleta). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Monroe Vikings 48-6. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Arleta to victory were Austin Ramos and Jose Rosas. Ramos threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, while Rosas rushed for 153 yards and one TD on only eight carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Ramos has posted since back in November of 2024. Robert Howze was in the mix too, providing Arleta with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arleta was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Arleta now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
