Softball Recap: Geneseo Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Geneseo won against York on Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Blue Devils never let the Lima Christian Saints get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Geneseo got a big performance out of Evie Warner, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ganelli Rodriguez Tillett, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Geneseo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lima Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneseo will challenge Haverling at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lima Christian, they will square off against Northstar Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
