The Toledo Riverhawks will take on the R.A. Long Lumberjacks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Toledo barely beat Morton/White Pass the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Riverhawks never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Riverhawks, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Holter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with five runs and one RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Taysia Miller was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Brenna Carver was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, R.A. Long had just enough and edged out Hockinson 12-11 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Lumberjacks have won by just one run.
Like Toledo, R.A. Long also got a great game from a two-way player: Edie Korpi (2026). She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Korpi (2026) was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Malia Byrnes (2026) and Stevie Jones (2027) did most of the damage at the plate: Byrnes (2026) went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Jones (2027) went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Audrina Solano (2026), who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
R.A. Long hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hockinson struck out nine times.
Toledo is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for R.A. Long, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
R.A. Long's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Toledo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .432. It's a different story for R.A. Long, though, as they've only averaged .245. Will they be able to contain Toledo's hitters? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
