Silver has gone 9-1 against Deming recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Fighting Colts are taking a road trip to square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Silver's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Santa Teresa with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Fighting Colts as they're now sitting on four straight.

Azariah Madrid was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Madrid was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Nemeth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Isabell Villa was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Silver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in ten consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Deming made easy work of Chaparral on Thursday and carried off a 17-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Like Silver, Deming also got a great game from a two-way player: Katarina Baca. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Baca has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Cristal Enriquez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Holguin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs.
Silver pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Deming, their record now sits at 8-12.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Silver hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .428. However, it's not like Deming struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Silver took their win against Deming when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
