The Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Leo Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger comes in on five and Leo on nine.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Fort Wayne North Side on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Braxton Bermes, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Max Stefanek also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .778. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Leo came out on top against Norwell on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Lions took their contest against the Knights 6-2.
Landon Ruoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Luke MacDonald was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Robinson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Leo, their record now sits at 9-0.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. However, it's not like Leo struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was able to grind out a solid win over Leo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
