Murphysboro waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the St. Pius X Lancers 79-44. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Murphysboro's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for St. Pius X, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murphysboro will challenge Carterville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Murphysboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for St. Pius X, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Affton at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
