Redbank Valley moved up to 359 from 396 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Keystone Shortway - Small. The Bulldogs were able to move up by defeating St. Marys 23-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Clarion Area beat Punxsutawney 55-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Cicciarelli Lane threw for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 7-21 with 3 interceptions.
Shane Murphy was the best wideout in the league this week as Union lost to Moniteau. Murphy tallied 2 receptions for 110 yards. Chet Carmichael helped Union's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 99 yards.
5-foot-7 quarterback Lane of the Knights/Damsels is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,269. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cody Hearst. The Clarion Area star has 32 catches for 688 yards.
Damien Slike of the Clarion Area is only 62 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Slike has rushed for 938 yards on 77 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in Keystone Shortway - Small this week will be when Redbank Valley takes on Clarion-Limestone. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in second, while the Lions are in fourth.
Larry Wiser's team took down the Chucks 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. John Katis threw for 227 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
