The Sac-Joaquin Section softball championships will be played Saturday in Sacramento. All six title games can be streamed live on the
NFHS Network.
National No. 11
Del Oro (Loomis) will square off against No. 23
Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills), the two-time defending Division I champions.
Oak Ridge brings plenty of experience as
Emery Glaser,
Carmen Montes de Oca,
Brooklyn Paratore,
Ellison Schroeder and
Carly Short have all started on the previous two section championship squads.
Del Oro is led in the circle by sophomore
Mikayla Finn, who has an 18-1 record with a 0.99 ERA.
Division II will be a battle between
Rocklin and
Whitney (Rocklin), rival schools that are 3.5 miles apart. Rocklin swept the season series 3-0.
LSU pledge
Ayla Tuua and top 50-ranked
Destiny Christian Academy (Sacramento) will battle in the Division IV title game against
Pioneer (Woodland). Tuaa is a national top 10 prospect with a .492 batting average and 0.22 ERA this season.
Divisions I, II and IV will be played at Shea Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State while the remaining trio of games are at Cosumnes River College.
