Northwestern is 0-10 against Norwayne since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Northwestern Huskies will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Norwayne Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Saturday, Northwestern took a serious blow against Triway, falling 66-39. Northwestern has not had much luck with Triway recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Norwayne was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 44-40 to Waynedale. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Norwayne has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Grace Wolf, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Allie Demassimo, who scored 14 points.
Norwayne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northwestern has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Norwayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Northwestern was dealt a bruising 67-33 defeat at the hands of Norwayne in their previous meeting back in February. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northwestern was down 38-11.
