Englewood has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the ED White Commanders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Englewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 630th, while ED White is ranked 245th).
Englewood posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wolfson 38-36.
Englewood can attribute much of their success to Nima Kargbo, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, ED White lost to University Christian on the road by a decisive 52-36 margin on Saturday. ED White has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Englewood's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11. As for ED White, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Englewood came up short against ED White in their previous meeting back in December of 2020, falling 36-31. Can Englewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
