The Caledonia Fighting Scots will head out on the road to take on the East Kentwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Caledonia came up short against Grandville and fell 59-49.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kyan Vanderwoude, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Corbin Raffler was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, East Kentwood lost to East Lansing at home by a decisive 66-47 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, East Kentwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while East Lansing is ranked fourth).
Caledonia's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for East Kentwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Caledonia suffered a grim 81-59 defeat to East Kentwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Caledonia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
