Springstead has gone a perfect 10-0 against Weeki Wachee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Springstead will head out to challenge Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Springstead has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Springstead's victory against Nature Coast Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Springstead came out on top in a nail-biter against Nature Coast Tech on Friday, sneaking past 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won four in a row.

ALIVIA MILLER made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
MILLER wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was RACHEL RIVERA, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weeki Wachee). They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Anclote on Monday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.
Like Springstead, Weeki Wachee also got a great game from a two-way player: Bre Slater. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Slater a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Weeki Wachee let Abi Pyle and Reegan Miller run wild. Pyle scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1, while Miller scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave Pyle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Becker, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Weeki Wachee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anclote only posted an OBP of .300.
Weeki Wachee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. Springstead's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Everything went Springstead's way against Weeki Wachee in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Springstead made off with a 21-3 victory. Will Springstead repeat their success, or does Weeki Wachee has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
