Logan View/Scribner-Snyder were the 34-30 winner over the Arlington Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost to Arlington on the road by a decisive 47-31 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Arlington is ranked 40th).
Several Logan View/Scribner-Snyder players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elli Christianson, who scored eight points along with three blocks. Another player making a difference was Ava Schafersman, who scored six points.
Arlington found their leader in underclassman Emerson Timm, who scored 14 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Arp, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Arlington, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will take on Conestoga at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Conestoga has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to challenge Syracuse at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
