The Twin Valley Raiders will head out to face off against the Penn Manor Comets at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.

Twin Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Reading get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory.

Maggie Stoltzfus was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Hailie Barton was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ella Herbst, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Twin Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reading only managed one hit.

Meanwhile, Penn Manor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Lampeter-Strasburg. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Penn Manor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Kreider, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Kreider snagged this season.

Penn Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Twin Valley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Twin Valley suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Penn Manor when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Twin Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
