The Avoca-Prattsburgh Titans couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against York on Saturday, falling 77-48. Avoca-Prattsburgh lost against York in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-69 score last time.
Macoy Putnam and Jaeden Crowder certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Putnam scored 15 points along with 7 assists, while Crowder scored 21 points along with 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Button, who scored 5 points.
Avoca-Prattsburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for York, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avoca-Prattsburgh will challenge Jasper-Troupsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Jasper-Troupsburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday. York is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
