Middletown will be up against a hot East Pennsboro team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. East Pennsboro never let Kennard-Dale get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Chase Deibler made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Deibler was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, East Pennsboro let Ryan Seibert and Steel Bayer run wild. Seibert went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Bayer scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Bayer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Thalassinos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Middletown made easy work of Milton Hershey on Thursday and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Raiders.
Like East Pennsboro, Middletown also got a great game from a two-way player: Landon Keyser. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Keyser was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Middletown got a massive performance out of Landon Cochran, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Cochran also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Brayden Reigle was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
Middletown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milton Hershey only posted an OBP of .263.
East Pennsboro pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Middletown, their record now sits at 3-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Pennsboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. However, it's not like Middletown struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East Pennsboro came out on top in a nail-biter against Middletown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Pennsboro since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
