The Crownpoint Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their sixth straight  defeat. They took a serious blow against Navajo Prep, falling  88-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Crownpoint has scored all season.
 Navajo Prep was led to victory by  Breygen Benally and  Jude Thomas.  Benally  scored 21 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals, while  Thomas  almost  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and nine  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Benally has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Xavier Nez, who  scored 16 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Crownpoint has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 11 of their last 12 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for Navajo Prep, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
 Crownpoint will head out on the road to  take on  the Hawks at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Thoreau is on  a six-game streak of home losses, the Eagles a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Navajo Prep will take on the Skyhawks at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Newcomb is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.2  points per game this season.
