The Nease Panthers posted their biggest win since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-35 margin over Bolles. That's another feather in the cap for Nease, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Nease's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Utter, who scored 16 points along with five assists. Utter hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jack Sullivan, who scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, Bolles saw an underclassman step up: Simeon Caldwell dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Caldwell has scored all season. William Green was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Nease and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Bolles, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Nease will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Providence School will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Bolles won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Westside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Bolles is ranked 183rd).
