Baseball Recap: First Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

First Baptist Academy lost against Palmetto Ridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The First Baptist Academy Lions fell just short of the Palmetto Ridge Bears by a score of 5-4.

First Baptist Academy dropped their record down to 7-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Palmetto Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as First Baptist Academy Lions challenge Dunbar Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunbar has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.43 runs per game on average), something First Baptist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will square off against Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Palmetto Ridge 4.1, Community School of Naples 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
