After both having extra time off, the Triplains/Brewster Titans and the Heartland Christian Crusaders will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Triplains/Brewster has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Heartland Christian will arrive with six straight victories.
Back in December of 2023, Triplains/Brewster ended up a good deal behind Cheylin and lost 47-30.
Kenlee Mackley put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Heartland Christian took care of business in their home opener last Friday (barely). They had just enough and edged Western Plains out 43-40.
Triplains/Brewster's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Heartland Christian, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Triplains/Brewster took their win against Heartland Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 68-43. With Triplains/Brewster ahead 38-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
