After two weeks on the road, Crownpoint is heading back home. On Friday they take on Wingate at District 1AAA at 7:00 PM. The two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with six consecutive losses for Crownpoint and four for Wingate.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-55, which was the final score in Crownpoint's tilt against Fort Sumner/House last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Wingate took a serious blow against Dexter, falling 6-64. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
