The Forest Grove Vikings lost against the Wilsonville Wildcats back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Forest Grove had to suffer through a rough 68-14 loss at the hands of Wilsonville. Forest Grove has struggled against Wilsonville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Wilsonville to victory were Kallen Gutridge and Roman Kealoha. Gutridge threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Kealoha rushed for 260 yards while picking up 14.4 yards per carry. Kealoha's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Wilsonville also got help from Mark Wiepert who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.
Forest Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wilsonville, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Grove will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilsonville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Canby at 7:00 p.m. Canby is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
