East Gaston is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will square off against the Highland Tech Rams at 6:00 p.m. East Gaston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

East Gaston came up short against East Lincoln on Tuesday, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Warriors were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Payton Lenox, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Highland Tech entered their tilt with Burns on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 1-0 shutout.

Highland Tech's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for East Gaston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1.
