The Chartiers Valley Colts will head out on the road to  challenge  the Hampton Talbots at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Chartiers Valley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
 Chartiers Valley put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the  season  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on North Catholic with a sharp  17-3 victory.
  Taylor Walsh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). Walsh has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Walsh was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news, Chartiers Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Marta Gualazzi, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI.  Lily Duffill was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Meanwhile, Hampton scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  15-4 margin over Montour. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Hampton.
 Like Chartiers Valley, Hampton also got a great game from a two-way player:  Marissa Snyder. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). Snyder was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Katelyn Dubee was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mackenzie Reese, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Chartiers Valley's record is now 4-1. As for Hampton, their record is now 3-1.
 Chartiers Valley took their  win against Hampton  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  13-5. Will Chartiers Valley repeat their success,  or does  Hampton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
