The Riverwalk Academy Lions will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Lewisville Lions at 7:15 p.m. The timing isn't great for Riverwalk Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lewisville has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Riverwalk Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Brashier Middle College Charter 86-37. Riverwalk Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-19.
Even though Lewisville has not done well against Great Falls recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lewisville came out on top in a nail-biter against Great Falls and snuck past 68-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Riverwalk Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lewisville, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Riverwalk Academy was dealt a bruising 90-33 defeat at the hands of Lewisville when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Riverwalk Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
