Carroll has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Maconaquah Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Carroll beat Culver Academies 60-48.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Wagner, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Wagner set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Alli Harness was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Even though Maconaquah has not done well against Tri-Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Maconaquah blew past Tri-Central, posting a 63-24 victory at home. Maconaquah's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Miranda Stoll was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Maiben, who scored ten points.
Carroll pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Maconaquah, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Carroll have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.3 threes per game. It's a different story for Maconaquah, though, as they've been averaging only 5.4 threes per game. Given Carroll's sizeable advantage in that area, Maconaquah will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Carroll against Maconaquah in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 66-26 win. With Carroll ahead 44-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
