The New Iberia Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the Patterson Lumberjacks, and things went their way on Thursday too. New Iberia pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over Patterson. Despite the win, that was the fewest points New Iberia has scored all year.
New Iberia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Otis Anderson, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Devin Frank, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for New Iberia and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Patterson, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
New Iberia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Alexandria at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Alexandria has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 432 points over their last six matchups. Patterson will be home for the holidays to greet Westgate at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
