Baseball Recap: Alleghany Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Alleghany came out on top against Staunton on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Cougars walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Storm. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Alleghany's record now sits at 7-8. As for Staunton, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Coming up, Alleghany will head out to face off against Radford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Staunton, they will host Riverheads at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gladiators' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
