Kell has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Cambridge has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Longhorns will host the Bears at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Centennial 55-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Longhorns' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Knights are ranked 218th).

Kell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Moonie Gipson out in front who rushed for 172 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Gipson also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Longhorns are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Donte Grant, who rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Kell, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jowell Combay, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Cambridge took their game last Friday with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over Centennial.
Cambridge's win came from a few key players Kell will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Craig Dandridge, who picked up 154 receiving yards and three TDs. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Langford, who threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
Cambridge's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Kell, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Kell has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 205.8 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Cambridge has preferred to attack from the air: they average 291.2 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Kell strolled past Cambridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-14. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
