The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sanger, who took down 74th ranked Edison, 35-29.
San Joaquin Memorial was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in County/Metro. Earlier in the week, the Panthers triumphed over Madera 35-33.
San Joaquin Memorial's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nick Kinder has thrown for 581 yards and one touchdown this season, while Noah Padilla has 13 catches for 143 yards. Jesus Lozano leads the league in rushing with 288 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when San Joaquin Memorial takes on Bullard. Anthony Goston's team's offense has recorded 56 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Knights have permitted only 111 on the year.
A big matchup in County/Metro this week will be when the Panthers take on Bullard. San Joaquin Memorial is currently in third, while Don Arax's team is in second.
The Apaches moved up to 229 from 298 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Sanger climbed the ranks as a result of a 35-29 win over the Tigers.
