After a string of 11 wins, the Notre Dame Prep Saints's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 55-46 to Sunnyslope.
Notre Dame Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayla Keefe, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Keefe has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Frankel, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Notre Dame Prep's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Sunnyslope, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Notre Dame Prep has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Casa Grande at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. Casa Grande will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked 20th). Sunnyslope's road trip will continue as they head out to face Maricopa at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Maricopa has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
