The Washington Prexies will head out on the road to face off against the South Allegheny Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Washington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Uniontown on the road and fell 97-40.
Meanwhile, South Allegheny waltzed into Tuesday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 79-48 victory over Albert Gallatin. Given South Allegheny's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Albert Gallatin is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Washington came up short against South Allegheny when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 53-46. Can Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
