The Episcopal Maroon pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Potomac School. While losing is never fun, Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Potomac School is ranked fourth).
Several Maroon players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Carter, who scored 17 points. The game was Carter's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davian King, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Episcopal now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Potomac School, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Episcopal will take on Wakefield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Potomac School, they will head out on the road to face off against Sandy Spring Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
