Tracy hasn't had much luck against St. Mary recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Tracy will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
On Friday, Tracy got the win against Lincoln by a conclusive 48-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Trojans since October 5, 2018.

| 08/29/25 @ Turlock | 1 |
Tracy can attribute much of their success to Brady Brown, who threw for 154 yards and four TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing, and David Grisham, who rushed for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. The dominant performance also gave Grisham a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). David Goularte was in the mix as well, providing Tracy with two scores.
Tracy's run defense was locked in: Lincoln could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Case Borges for the heroic effort on defense: he. Tracy is 3-1 when they shut down the run game so well.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 57.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 44-27. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Vikings are ranked 146th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to St. Mary's defense and their four sacks. Landon Mcclendon Jr. was especially locked on to Edison's QB and sacked him three times. With that strong performance, Mcclendon Jr. is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Braylon Lindsey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win got Tracy back to even at 4-4. As for St. Mary's, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Tracy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 236.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like St. Mary's struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 185.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Tracy was dealt a bruising 45-14 loss at the hands of St. Mary's when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
