Even though the Linfield Christian Lions scored an imposing 64 points on Wednesday, the Summit SkyHawks still came out on top. Summit secured a 69-64 W over Linfield Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for Summit.
Despite the loss, Linfield Christian still got an impressive performance from Julius Brower, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Drew Pierce was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Summit is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Linfield Christian, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Grand Terrace at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Grand Terrace will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Linfield Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Arrowhead Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arrowhead Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 70 points per game.
