They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 63-60. Willow Spring's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Willow Spring saw an underclassman step up: Xavion Terrell scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Terrell's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Mendzef, who scored 12 points.
Willow Spring's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Apex Friendship, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Willow Spring will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Fuquay - Varina at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Fuquay - Varina is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Apex Friendship will take on East Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
