On Friday Coalgate take on Lindsay at 7:00 PM. Coalgate are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
After a string of five wins, Coalgate's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 20-42 walloping at Kingston's hands. Loss or not, Coalgate got some senior leadership from Austin Lambert, who passed for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Auston Crank, who caught passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Lambert's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games.
Meanwhile, Lindsay might be getting used to good results now that the team have four wins in a row. They took their contest against Marietta by a conclusive 29-0 score. The lopsides score is just par for the course this season for Lindsay, who can brag about four blowout wins.
Lindsay's win lifted them to 4-2 while Coalgate's defeat dropped them down to 5-1. If Lindsay want to win, Lindsay will need to focus on stopping Coalgate's senior Austin Lambert, who passed for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns, and senior Auston Crank, who caught passes for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
