Anthem Prep was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9.
Peyton Pfefferkorn was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having also posted 14 or more assists the last five times she's played. Mabel Rosenmeyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Despite the loss, North Phoenix Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Coco Veatch, who had 37 digs and two aces.
Anthem Prep's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, with the defeat, they broke their 11-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-5.
