After both having extra time off, the Paschal Panthers and the Lake Worth Bullfrogs will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Paschal and five for Lake Worth.
Two weeks ago, Paschal was beaten by Weatherford 60-29. While losing is never fun, Paschal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1073rd, while Weatherford is ranked 471st).
Meanwhile, Lake Worth came up short against Rio Vista two weeks ago and fell 37-26.
Paschal bumped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lake Worth, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Paschal against Lake Worth in their previous meeting back in November as the squad secured a 55-18 victory. Will Paschal repeat their success, or does Lake Worth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
